Best Buddies is a one – to – one
friendship between your son/daughter
(The Buddy) and his/her Peer Buddy.
The friendship will grow when your son/daughter and his/her Peer
Buddy spend time together and do things that they both enjoy.
For the friendship to grow your son/daughter will have contact
(phone/e-mail/letter…) with their Peer Buddy once a week, and
make plans to meet twice a month.

Activities for buddies are endless, we have included
a list of things they can do, but this list is not limited.

The programme tries to match people who are the same
sex, like to do the same things, live near each other, and are close in
age.
|

Best Buddies are linking with a number of secondary
schools and colleges in the area.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Sorry to say, there is no way to know. We want to
make successful matches, which lead to quality friendships. We will do
our best to match as many people as possible in as short a time as
possible.

Best Buddies asks buddies to see each other twice a
month. How long they spend with each other and when they meet will
depend on each person’s schedule.

Like any friendship, each person pays for himself or
herself.
